A few weeks ago I had an inspiring visitor on our rooftop terrace: Christopher Kai, an “entrepreneur, global speaker, founder of the Gifted Professional Speaker (GPS) Program and an Amazon #1 bestselling author of “Big Game Hunting: Networking with Billionaires, Executives and Celebrities.” He has given over 1,000 presentations to a global audience from 30 countries. His audiences include Fortune 500 companies like Google, New York Life and American Express. He has been featured on Forbes, ABC News, Fast Company, Huffington Post and Inc. Magazine has referred to him as “the billionaire networker.” Christopher Kai also created Mondays at the Mission, the only homeless youth program of its kind in the world where its participants like Elon Musk have been profiled on over 100 publications like: CNN, People, The Ellen Who, Forbes, and Oprah.” (http://christopherkai.com)
He told me his story, how he came to be such a high profile global public speaker and how much he loves to share his knowledge about speaking. He also asked me a lot of questions, especially regarding my own definition of campaigning and what my „business campaigning“® model can do for you and / or your business. I explained, what it means to be able to pull ALL the stops in order to achieve a goal, which means change, and how this helps to avoid a waste of resources for nothing. That Campaigning as I learned it is ore a way of thinking than anything else. An how much it has in common with scientific thinking.
We had a great time and he also highlighted a few things that I should better use for my own branding, like the fact that I wrote the concept for the Open Forum of the World Economic Forum in Davos. I never really mentioned this in my CV…
Anyway, after he left we stayed in contact and then he surprised me with a special invitation to speak at a Fortune 500 company in Beverly Hills during his first summit for public global speakers, a summit limited to 30 participants of which only 5 – and then with me 6 – were given the opportunity to speak at the Fortune 500 company.
So, here I am in the garden of a beautiful West Hollywood AirBNB bungalow now, looking at an orange tree as I am writing this and getting ready in a few minutes for 3 days of inspiration by and networking with an exclusively small crowd of other gifted public speakers.
